Turkey’s accommodation project, which began after the earthquake in Albania’s Laç city in 2019, has been completed. A ceremony was held to hand over the 522 homes built to the earthquake victims. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Turkish Ambassador to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yörük, and other Albanian officials attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Albanian Prime Minister Rama said that Turkey provided the financing of the houses built in Laç within the scope of the reconstruction program carried out in 11 municipalities of the country after the earthquake 2 years ago. “The project was carried out with the special support from my friend Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” Rama added. Albanians who lost their homes in earthquake thanked Turkey for getting new homes.
