An injured and worn out moorhen found by the municipal police was taken to Ormanya Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center for treatment in Kocaeli, Turkey. The moorhen measured only 190 grams by the authorities. Appropriate feed ration was prepared for the moorhen, which was reported to be weakened due to undernutrition. Authorities moorhen to the rehabilitation department to rest, and vitamin and mineral supplements were given. The moorhen will be released back into its natural habitat once its treatment is completed.
