North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inaugurated a 20,000-person tourism complex in Wonsan’s Kalma Peninsula, calling it key to boosting tourism and the economy. The opening ceremony was attended by Russian diplomats. Kim said the complex would help shape the country’s tourism culture and support future developments. PM Pak Thae-Song called it a “groundbreaking change” and proof of the regime’s people-focused policies. The resort will open to domestic tourists on July 1.
