The vice dean of Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Müjdat Yeşildal, was shot by Bestami Serdar E., a graduate of the same faculty, who then attempted suicide.

The incident occurred on campus, prompting a rapid response from police and medical teams. Both Yeşildal and the suspect were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack.
