The death toll from the explosion that occurred at a mosque in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province during Friday prayers yesterday has risen to 9.
Authorities said the number of injured is at least 18.
The preliminary investigations indicate that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber, said local sources.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the incident, saying targeting worshippers was a “despicable and disgusting” act.
