Harosman Canyon, which attracts attention with its rock-carved caves, old watermill and natural beauties in the Kura River Valley in the Hanak district of Ardahan, Türkiye, has become the new route for nature lovers.

”The unique aspects of Ardahan’s nature are worth seeing in harsh winter conditions. We wanted to draw attention to Harosman caves, one of the important historical points of Ardahan. We started association studies in order to bring more people from all ages to see Ardahan’s unique untouched geography, fungi, flora, fauna and historical regions and especially to bring more nature lovers together. We aim to organize more events after the association is established,” said Fuat Işıklı, from the group that organized nature walks in the region to promote the canyon.

With the appropriate equipment and knowledge, nature walks can be done in Ardahan even in harsh winter conditions, says Işıklı.
