Türkiye has recovered historical artifacts from Denmark, reinforcing its efforts to reclaim smuggled heritage. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, speaking at the Antalya Archaeological Museum, stated, “If an artifact was illegally removed from Anatolia, Türkiye will find and reclaim it through legal means.”
The returned items, presented at the museum, include a Roman Emperor Septimius Severus head from Burdur’s ancient city of Boubon and 48 terracotta panels from Düver Village. Türkiye has recovered 8,967 artifacts in the last seven years and remains committed to retrieving its lost heritage.
