At least 50 people lost their lives and dozens of people were injured in a fire that broke out in a nightclub in the town of Kočana in North Macedonia, where more than a thousand people had gathered for a concert.
The flames spread rapidly and engulfed the ceiling as well, said witnesses.
“The number of those killed and injured in the fire is being determined,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
