Tunisian President Kais Said sacked Prime Minister Kamel Maddouri and appointed Minister of Equipment and Housing Sara Zaafarani in his place due to the increasing influx of migrants and the deterioration of the economy.

All obstacles should be removed in order to increase coordination of government work and meet the expectations of the Tunisian people, said Said in the meeting where he accepted Zaafarani yesterday.

President Said, who also dismissed Finance Minister Sihem Boughdiri last month, harshly criticizes many ministers, stating that their performances do not meet the required standards and that the expectations of the Tunisian people are higher.
