EU Calls for Justice Over Russia’s War Crimes in Ukraine

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas emphasized that Russia must be held accountable for war crimes in Ukraine, stating, “It is impossible for war crimes to go unpunished in today’s world.”

Speaking at the European Parliament, Kallas cited overwhelming evidence, including photos, phone records, and intercepted communications, proving Russian atrocities in Bucha and other occupied areas. She condemned Russia’s actions, highlighting reports of torture, executions, and civilian disappearances.

The EU supports the International Criminal Court, which has issued arrest warrants for Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin. Kallas stressed that Ukraine’s recovery must include justice for these crimes.
