A silent commemoration was held at Emin Duraku Elementary School for 15-year-old Şilan Görenç, who was fatally stabbed by her father at their home in Prizren, Kosovo.
Şilan, a 9th grade student, was killed in the early morning attack that also left her mother and sister seriously injured. Students and teachers left flowers and her photograph at the school entrance, along with a note reading, “Sleep in the light, we will not forget you – Emin Duraku.”
