Arizona Wildfire Burns Over 20,000 Acres

 

The “Greer Fire” in Arizona, which began on May 13, has burned 20,425 acres and is only 38% contained. A red flag warning remains in effect due to the risk of further spread. Governor Katie Hobbs declared a state of emergency in Apache County on May 17. Firefighting efforts continue with 736 personnel on the ground.
