Forest Fires Rage on Greek Islands, Evacuations Ordered

Forest fires have erupted across Greece, including on the islands of Kefalonia and Zakynthos, and in the Vonitsa region. The fires prompted evacuations in multiple areas. In Kefalonia, residents of Faraklata, Dilina, and Davgata were evacuated as flames spread. On Zakynthos, 60 firefighters, 17 vehicles, and two aircraft are battling fires threatening villages like Agalas and Keri. Evacuations were also ordered for Agalas and Varko. The heatwave continues to exacerbate conditions, with firefighting efforts underway across the country.
