1.8-Million-Year-Old Human Jawbone Found in Georgia

Archaeologists in Orozmani, Georgia, discovered a 1.8-million-year-old human jawbone, shedding light on early human life in Eurasia. Fossils of animals including saber-toothed tigers and elephants, along with stone tools, were also unearthed.

Experts say the find could reveal how early humans adapted after leaving Africa. Similar remains were previously found in nearby Dmanisi.
