Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met in Beijing on Victory Day, agreeing to boost strategic cooperation and defend their countries’ common interests.
Xi praised the traditional Beijing-Pyongyang friendship, calling the two nations “good neighbors and comrades,” while Kim pledged full support for China’s sovereignty and development goals. The leaders also discussed future high-level visits before Kim returned home.
