Speaking at the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is ready to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but only in Moscow. “If anyone truly wants to meet with us, we are ready. The best place is Moscow, the hero city. Security will be ensured, we give a 100% guarantee,” Putin said, calling demands to meet elsewhere “excessive.”
On NATO troop deployment in Ukraine, Putin warned they would be considered “legitimate targets” while the war continues. He also said Russia would fully comply with any future security guarantees provided for both Russia and Ukraine.
Putin added that he maintains open communication with US President Donald Trump and that the two agreed to hold direct calls if necessary.
