Syria Auctions Assad’s Luxury Cars For $20 Million

At the launch of the Syrian Development Fund in Damascus, President Ahmed al-Sha’ara announced the auction of four luxury cars once owned by Bashar al-Assad and his family, valued at $20 million. Proceeds will be used for rebuilding war-torn Syria.

The vehicles included a rare Ferrari F50 worth $3 million, a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a Lamborghini Murciélago, and an Aston Martin. Authorities said this is part of a wider plan to liquidate assets seized from the Assad family, whose car collection is estimated at over $1 billion, and direct funds toward reconstruction and infrastructure projects.

In his speech, Shara vowed to “repair our wounded Syria, rebuild our country, and return our displaced citizens,” stressing that the fund would operate transparently and focus on strategic development.
