Tyler Robinson, accused of killing American right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, appeared before a judge in Provo, Utah, for the first time. Participating online in a protective vest, Robinson heard the charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and influencing witnesses. Prosecutors said they will seek the death penalty.
Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead at Utah Valley University on September 10. Robinson, 22, was arrested the next day at his family home, about 420 kilometers from the scene. The next court hearing is set for September 29.
