A fire broke out in a 450 square-meter private nursing home in a Russia’s capital city of Moscow. A large number of firefighters and rescue teams from Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) were dispatched at the scene. It’s been reported that employees and some nursing home residents escaped on their own, and 7 people were stuck inside the fire. As a result of the rescue efforts, people left inside were evacuated and 48 people, including 18 personnel, were escaped without injury. Meanwhile, the fire in nursing home was taken under control after 2 hours of efforts. It was announced that evacuees were sent to another place and an investigation launched regarding the cause of the fire, in the statement released by Moscow Prosecutor’s Office.
