A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck northern Cebu Province, killing 69 people and injuring more than 150.
Civil Defense officials said hospitals in Bogo City near the epicenter were overwhelmed, and rescue teams are working to free people trapped under rubble while restoring electricity and water supplies.
