Pope Leo XIV To Visit Türkiye In First International Trip

The Vatican announced that Pope Leo XIV will make his first international visit to Türkiye from November 27 to 30, followed by a visit to Lebanon. Vatican Press Office Director Matteo Bruni said the Pope accepted invitations from the presidents and church officials of both countries. Bruni noted that the Türkiye trip will include a pilgrimage to Nicaea to mark the 1,700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea, while details of the Lebanon visit will be announced later.
