Nearly 900 Climbers Rescued After Everest Snowstorm in Tibet

Rescue teams have evacuated almost all of the 880 climbers stranded on Mount Everest’s eastern slope after a powerful snowstorm hit the region last week. Chinese media said around 580 climbers and 300 local guides reached safety in Qudeng and Dingri, marking one of Tibet’s largest rescue efforts. Officials are coordinating their return home. One climber reportedly died of hypothermia during the operation.
