Erhürman Becomes New TRNC President

Tufan Erhürman won the presidential election in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with 62.7% of the vote, according to unofficial results. In his first statement, Erhürman pledged to serve impartially and work closely with Türkiye on foreign policy, saying, “No one should have the slightest concern about this.” He invited all citizens to celebrate unity, adding, “We will govern together, not divided.”
