US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that four people were killed in a US military strike on a boat allegedly carrying drugs in the Pacific Ocean. The attack, ordered by President Donald Trump, targeted a vessel on a known drug trafficking route.
Hegseth said the US will continue to pursue “narco-terrorists” operating in international waters. Over the past two months, at least 60 people have been killed in similar US operations in the Caribbean and Pacific, straining ties with Colombia and Venezuela.
