Archaeologists in Kyrgyzstan’s Chuy region have uncovered stone remains depicting a female figure from the early Turkic period. The discovery was made during excavations at the Borombay archaeological complex near Kyzyl-Oktyabr village in the Kemin district.
The artifact, featuring a woman wearing a three-horned headdress, is believed to date back to the pre-Turkic or Kenkol culture. Researchers described the find as unique, noting that such a tumulus structure had never been seen before in the Altai region. A total of 41 ancient structures were recorded at the site, though many were damaged or looted in the past.
