Fifteen-year-old Turkish national driver Alp Aksoy, set to race with Prema Racing in Formula 4 in 2026, says speed is his strongest asset and names Michael Schumacher as his biggest inspiration. Aksoy, who became a national athlete at age nine, will compete in his first race in Dubai in two weeks after completing nearly 20 test days.
He said he feels motivated by the expectations of Türkiye and credited former Ferrari engineer Luca Baldisserri for helping him improve. “Schumacher never gave up and worked harder than anyone,” Aksoy said. “I think I resemble him in that.”
