Indonesia Landslides Raise Death Toll to 30

Two landslides triggered by prolonged heavy rainfall in Indonesia’s Central Java province have killed at least 30 people, according to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

In Banjarnegara, the death toll rose to 10, with seven injured and 18 missing. Dozens of homes were damaged and more than 900 residents were evacuated. Around 700 rescue personnel, including military teams, are searching for survivors.

In Cilacap, four additional bodies were recovered, bringing the toll there to 20, while three people remain missing. About 400 people have been evacuated as search efforts continue.
