Hamas has transferred the body of another Israeli prisoner killed in Israel’s Gaza strikes, as required under the current ceasefire agreement. The Israeli army received the remains through the Red Cross, and the body will be taken to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for identification.
Hamas has handed over 26 bodies since the deal took effect, while an estimated two prisoners’ remains are still believed to be in Gaza.
