Ukraine’s Security Service attacked the Dashan oil tanker, part of Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea using a Sea Baby unmanned underwater drone. The vessel, sailing under the Comoros flag and heading toward Novorossiysk, was seriously damaged.
This is Ukraine’s third strike on a Russian-linked tanker in two weeks. Ukrainian sources say the tanker, worth about $30 million and carrying $60 million in petroleum, had its transponder off and was already under sanctions by the EU, UK, Canada, Australia, and Switzerland.
