Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the International Peace and Security Forum.
The closed-door meeting followed bilateral talks and was attended by senior Turkish and Russian officials. Erdoğan and Putin last met in person in China in September and spoke by phone in October and November.
