Final results of Kosovo’s early general election showed the Vetvendosje Movement winning 51.11% of the vote and 57 seats, according to the Central Election Commission. The Kosovo Democratic Turkish Party (KDTP), the only Turkish party in parliament, secured two seats with 5,408 votes. Overall turnout was about 45 percent in the December 28 vote. KDTP representatives said they aim to represent the rights, language, and cultural interests of Kosovo’s Turkish community in the 120-seat assembly.
