The death toll from a high-speed train derailment in southern Spain has risen to 41, prompting Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to declare three days of national mourning. The derailment occurred near Adamuz in Córdoba province when a Malaga–Madrid train left the tracks and struck another train heading toward Huelva. Rescue teams continue searching the wreckage as several victims remain trapped, while dozens were reported missing. Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska said the final toll will be confirmed once all carriages are cleared. Transport Minister Oscar Puente said the investigation could take at least a month, calling the incident highly unusual.
