Light Plane Crash Kills Two, Sparks Bushfire In Australia

 

Two people were killed after a light aircraft crashed in Queensland, eastern Australia, early this morning, triggering a bushfire. The crash occurred near Heck Field, a private airstrip north of the Gold Coast, killing a 73-year-old pilot and a passenger. Police said the aircraft caught fire on impact, with the flames spreading to nearby bushland. Fire crews and helicopters were deployed to contain the blaze, while authorities said it was too early to determine the cause of the crash.
