Kaja Kallas said the European Union has blacklisted Russia over money laundering risks, a move expected to slow transactions with Russian banks and increase costs. Speaking after an EU foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, Belgium, Kallas said global unpredictability will define 2026, warning that Russia poses a major threat while China remains a long-term challenge. She added that Europe must strengthen itself and deepen partnerships, pointing to recent agreements with India as a positive example.
