Miroslav Lajčák, national security advisor to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, resigned after US Justice Department files revealed past correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein. Lajčák said he stepped down to avoid harming the government. Prime Minister Fico accepted the resignation, calling Lajčák an experienced and respected diplomat.
