Five people were killed when an ambulance helicopter crashed at El-Sarra Air Base in the Kufra region of southeastern Libya, according to local media. The helicopter had taken off to respond to a traffic accident involving military personnel when it went down for reasons that remain unclear.
The victims reportedly include two pilots, two military personnel, and one medical worker. Local reports said the pilots were foreign nationals, and an investigation into the crash is underway.
