Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was officially welcomed by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Addis Ababa during his official visit to Ethiopia. The ceremony at the National Palace included the playing of both national anthems and a guard of honor.
Erdoğan and Abiy Ahmed held a bilateral meeting and are expected to oversee the signing of agreements and a joint press conference. The visit coincides with the 100th anniversary of the opening of Türkiye’s Embassy in Addis Ababa.
