The Mexican Navy seized a submarine carrying nearly four tons of cocaine in the Pacific Ocean, dealing a major blow to drug trafficking operations. Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch said the drugs were found in 179 packages and three suspects were detained.
Harfuch added that about 10 tons of narcotics were confiscated in naval operations last week, calling it a direct hit to the finances of organized crime groups.
