Security measures remain at the highest level at the Esendere Border Crossing in Yüksekova, Hakkari, Türkiye, following rising tensions between the USA, Israel and Iran. Authorities have suspended regular passenger crossings while commercial vehicle traffic continues under controlled conditions.
Turkish citizens are allowed to return from Iran and Iranian citizens can return to their country under supervision of customs teams. Fighter jets from the Turkish Air Force are also conducting continuous patrol flights along the Türkiye–Iran border.
