An airstrike on an addiction treatment hospital in Afghanistan has killed around 400 people and injured about 250, according to Afghan officials. Deputy government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said the Pakistani military carried out the strike targeting the Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital late in the evening.
Large parts of the facility were destroyed, while rescue teams continue searching for survivors under the rubble after bringing the fire under control.
