The Islamic Resistance in Iraq shared footage showing a reconnaissance drone flying over the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. The drone, named “Hudhud,” was seen circling the heavily fortified Green Zone, appearing to pass close to the embassy building.
In a statement, the group said the embassy was “within our firing range” and claimed it carried out 21 operations in Iraq and the region in the past 24 hours. Recent attacks have targeted areas including Baghdad International Airport and the Majnoon oil field in Basra.
