Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was officially welcomed to Pyongyang, North Korea, by leader Kim Jong-un for his first-ever state visit. The leaders attended a grand ceremony at Kim Il-sung Square before Lukashenko paid tribute at historical sites across the capital. Seeking to mitigate the economic impact of international sanctions, the two nations are expected to discuss mutual cooperation and potentially sign a formal agreement.
