Four Migrants Die in English Channel off France

Four migrants tragically lost their lives after being swept away by strong currents in the English Channel off the coast of Saint-Etienne-au-Mont in northern France. Local authorities in the Pas-de-Calais region reported that the victims, two men and two women, were among a group attempting to reach England, while 38 others were successfully rescued by emergency teams. The tragedy occurred as the migrants waded deep into the water to board a waiting inflatable vessel, a dangerous “taxi boat” method increasingly used by smugglers to evade shore police. French prosecutors in Boulogne have launched an official investigation into the fatal incident
