Fire at Oil Refinery in Mexico

State oil company Pemex confirmed that a fire broke out yesterday in a coke storage area at the Olmeca refinery in southern Mexico. President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that 150 emergency specialists, alongside navy and defense personnel, successfully extinguished the flames with no injuries reported. This incident marks the second blaze at the facility in less than a month, following a fatal fire on March 17 in the same region that claimed five lives.
