Four people, including a teacher, were killed and 20 others injured during a tragic shooting at a middle school in southern city of Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. Authorities report that an eighth-grade student entered Ayser Çalık Middle School with a handgun—believed to belong to his former police officer father—and opened fire indiscriminately on students. Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer confirmed that the young attacker died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the ensuing chaos. Emergency responders immediately secured the scene, recovering the weapon and seven magazines from the suspect’s backpack.
