Six workers have died after an avalanche struck a mining site during road construction in Russia’s Buryatia region. While three individuals managed to escape the initial snowslide, six others remained buried under the snow in the remote Muysky District. Approximately 60 emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene, narrowly avoiding a second avalanche during their extensive search operations. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations later confirmed the recovery of all six bodies, prompting local authorities to launch a formal investigation into the fatal incident.
