Israeli forces launched intense airstrikes and drone attacks across more than 25 settlements in southern Lebanon today, hitting targets in Nabatiyeh, Sidon, and Tyre. The heavy bombardment comes in stark defiance of a fragile ceasefire enacted on April 17. Since the truce began, the Israeli military has issued sweeping evacuation orders for over 60 Lebanese villages. During a frontline visit to the occupied town of Khiam, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told troops they face “no limitations” on their use of force. Zamir further warned that the military remains on high alert for a broader regional campaign, explicitly citing a readiness to strike strategic targets within Iran.
