A wave of Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine overnight has left at least 13 people dead and more than 100 injured. The large-scale assault severely damaged civilian and energy infrastructure in multiple regions, with the heaviest destruction reported in the capital city of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv. Ukrainian officials confirmed that four people were killed in Kyiv, while nine others, including a child, died when a residential apartment building was nearly destroyed in Dnipro. Emphasizing that Russia launched over 650 drones and 70 missiles during the barrage, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an urgent appeal to Western allies for advanced air defense systems. As the death toll threatens to rise, hundreds of emergency personnel are continuing search and rescue operations to pull survivors from the rubble.
