Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Islamabad for his first foreign trip since the February 28 US and Israeli strikes on Iran. He landed aboard an aircraft named “Minab 168” in memory of the 168 children killed in a US and Israeli school attack, and was greeted with a grand official ceremony featuring artillery fire and fighter jets. Joined by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Pezeshkian is scheduled to hold high-level talks with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The meetings will focus on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, and border security while addressing vital regional developments following the newly signed Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
