The Israeli military has demolished the two-story home of a family with nine children in the occupied West Bank village of Kalqas, citing a lack of building permits. During the unannounced demolition, Israeli soldiers fired tear gas at the homeowners and surrounding neighbors, leaving dozens of Palestinians suffering from gas exposure. Homeowner Mahmoud al-Atrash condemned the destruction of the property, which he noted has belonged to his family for centuries, describing it as a deliberate tactic to forcefully displace Palestinians. Despite losing a home that took years of arduous labor and financial struggle to build, the family vowed that the devastation has only strengthened their resolve to remain on their land.
